Community Cricket Match - Sunday 8th August 2010

Hertfordhire Crimestoppers once again sponsored the annual cricket match between the Herts Police and members of the local community in Watford. Board members David Green and Brenda Griffiths were there to umpireand present the prizes respectively.

The match was held at Watford Town Cricket Club with the teams representing Herts Police and the the Community.

The Community team batted first and scored 133 runs in 20 overs.

The Police team made a steady start and it was lookinglike anyone's game. After the retirement of ACC Chris Miller with 30 runs, several wickets fell. Then DC Crease came to the wicket, was rejoined by ACC Miller and they reached 133 on the last ball to tie the match.
